Martha Guzman is an arts marketing and communications strategist with over a decade of experience. She understands both the human and financial limitations many arts nonprofit organizations face, and founded MG Communications in order to help them maximize their marketing outreach efforts strategically, creatively, and effectively.
Martha's experience includes developing and executing comprehensive integrated marketing communications campaigns for organizations, such as South Coast Repertory theatre, The Broad Stage, the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), and The Queen Mary, among others. She has also held roles as a newspaper writer and photo editor.
In addition, she has worked in partnership with organizations such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), the Ford Theatres, The Music Center and other cultural institutions throughout Southern California. Previously, she served as an adviser for a Latino marketing research project for The James Irvine Foundation.
Martha holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a Master of Arts in English literature. She is currently in the process of completing a certification program in Nonprofit Management. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and also speaks and writes in French.
